Translation Practice

It´s difficult to describe Andrés Rábago García: he´s a strip cartoonist, but I am not usually impressed by his drawings but rather by the messages they convey through his comments because of his sarcasm, irony and sharpness.

He´s known by his pseydonym, "El Roto", and you can see his comic strips in El País everyday. If you click here, you can read a revealing interview with him, which will help you to understand the world behind his art. For other strips, click here.

Bearing in mind the irony of two events that happened at the same time last week, the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull, the volcano in Iceland and the celebration of Earth day, this strip is certainly a sarcastic homage to mankind.

After this long introduction, here is what I would like you to do: translate this strip into English. Click on "comentarios" to write your translation and share it with all the readers. It shouldn´t be too difficult...

  3. Thanks, Brais!
You corrected something that Román misspelled, but there are a couple of things we need to correct in your translation. We´ll talk about them in our next class.
    Good try, anyway!
