The fact that there are 29 days in February this year turns 2012 into a leap year. Why do our calendars have one extra day every four years? You-tuber CGP Grey explains it in the following video. Grey is the fast-talking man who makes those interesting videos with accurate explanations and definitions - do you remember the one about continents? or another one about the differences between UK and GB?...We should consider sending him a message begging him to speak slower for EFL (= English as a Foreign Language) speakers, any volunteers to write it?
The following video may also be useful, it explains how many types of years there are and the differences between them (one of those things that makes us perfectly aware of how much we actually ignore ...)
