Alba Vázquez, one of my students, wrote about this video in her English journal and I thought it would be nice to share this "lesson for life" with all of you. She sent me a ten minute video, which summarizes the main ideas from the talk you´ll find below. There are two reasons why I have decided to post the one-hour-long talk. On the one hand, we can learn so much from this man, professor Randy Pausch: we can learn, mainly, to live life to the full while looking at it from the "bright side of life". On the other hand, from the point of view of English: if you click on the title of the video, you will be directed to YouTube; there, below the video, next to the "like / dislike" boxes, you can find the Interactive transcript of the talk, which means you can play the video and listen to the talk, while you read it. A great chance not to miss a word and, at the same time, to practise reading and listening.
Thank you very much, Alba!
Hi Rosa !
ReplyDeleteI really liked this video when I watched it. I think he's a strong man and we all must learn from him. My Swedish exchange student showed it to me one day and we almost cried at the end. It's a very moving and sad video.
Yes, it is, Alba.
ReplyDeleteI am reading his book "La última lección" in spanish now. It has a similar content that the conference. This video with subtitles will be very useful because it speaks too fast for me. Thanks Rosa.
ReplyDeleteIt is always nice to hear from you, "Erelea," and to know that you keep on working on your English
