Our World: News from Mexico
Do you remember the disappearance of 43 students from the Ayotzinapa Normal School last September? They disappeared in the town of Iguala, in Guerrero, one of Mexico´s poorest and most violent states. Right now, six months later, we know they were murdered but only one student´s remains have been identified. This video shows how the indigenous communities from Guerrero keep struggling to protect themselves against crime in their state.
Watch the video without the audio -for reading practice in English, since that is the language of the subtitles. After that, you may want to listen to the voices of these people; the video is much more powerful - and sad- when listening to them.
