Volcano Eruption in Iceland


Sometimes the news is so powerful we have to change our lesson plans and bring it into the classroom; that´s what happened with the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland.
We watched the news in the video below and used the vocabulary in this word cloud to retell it - writing the piece of news is optional...

If you want to see some photographs of the volcano, The Big Picture, as usual, has some good ones but the ones in the Global Toronto are impressive.
