This is how the 1billionhungry campaign is presented. Its target is to put pressure on politicians to make the elimination of hunger in the world their top priority. How do they intend to achieve that? They are asking people to sign the petition launched by FAO (= Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations)

Would you like to sign, too? Watch the video first; it´s starred by Jeremy Irons. Click here or here if you want to learn about this British actor who often works as a voice-over narrator for documentaries, children's stories and animated features - when you hear his voice, you´ll understand why. Pay attention to his intonation!

You´ll find the script -in English- written below the video; if you need a translation, go to the 1billionhungry webpage and choose Spanish, thus you´ll get the audio in English but the subtitles in Spanish.

Somebody said, "I don´t have to tell YOU things are bad." Well, he was right. I mean, everyone knows things are bad. It seems like we are stuck in a world where we can´t change a single thing but the climate.
Everytime we check the news, we´ve been hit by a quake or a storm or a financial disaster. We KNOW things are bad, worse than bad. They are crazy. It looks like everything everywhere is going crazy so we don´t go out anymore, but we still think we are connected with all the people in the world. But that´s not true. People around the world suffer hunger, chronic hunger. One billion people. One billion of US.
Now, that´s bad, worse than bad. That´s crazy and we´ve got to get mad! I want you to get mad. I want you to get up right now, stick your head out of the window and yell, "I´m as mad as hell!!! and I´m not gonna let one billion people go hungry." You tell them.
