School Day of Non-violence and Peace

The “School Day of Non-violence and Peace” is celebrated in Spain on January 30th; the observance is not on the same date all over the world: in the countries following the southern hemisphere's calendars, it is observed on or about March 30.

It was celebrated for the first time in 1964 as a pioneering, non-state, non-governmental, non-official, independent, free and voluntary initiative of non-violent and pacifying education. It advocates a permanent education in and for harmony, tolerance, solidarity, respect for human rights, non-violence and peace.

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words:  have a look at these images of child soldiers - two words that should never go together- and judge for yourself if they are suitable to illustrate the topic:

As for  the remains of former wars, if we let people use their imagination, they would probably come up with creative ideas: check the use of a canyon as a swing in the following photograph  :

Any other ideas?

It is very sad to see all these pictures, because I believe that children should not use weapons, this leads to violence, which should not exist and I can not be allowed to use so children, the situations of these countries are bad and this should change

  3. Pablo, what do you suggest to change these situations? What could we do from here?
