Writer Challenge

There is this blog I follow called Daily Lit which has launched what they call, "The 50 Word Fright." Here is what it is about: in exactly 50 words (no more, no less), tell the creepiest, scariest, most chilling story you can possibly imagine. And remember, you don't need blood and guts to make it scary!

Read some examples of 50-word stories here

Here´s a good chance for you to get extra credit for optional homework: send one story to Daily Lit and, as soon as it is published, send its link to me.

Hall light has turned on and nobody was there. There are a lot of electrical failures . Tomorrow I’m going to call a technician to inspect the installation. When I come back to reality, memories come to me: the strange presence that lives in this house are still here.I’m afraid.

  2. I created a monster, because nobody wants to see me nomore, they want someone more perfect, less human. So I gave them what they asked me. I lost my mind and at first moment everybody love my new ego but now they are all dead. They made a wrong choice.

I was in my bedroom, sitting in my chair, reading a book. I was alone because my parents was working. Suddenly, I felt cold. A cold that isn't coming from nowhere. I thought that it was the wind. I stood up. I saw all the windows. They were closed.

  5. Iago, this is a good short story but not really "scary". No fright, here

I came back home after a difficult and stressful week, with ten exams. I pressed the light switch, but the light didn´t turn on. So I went quickly to turn on the TV, but it wasn´t possible. And finally, I tried to turn on my computer and I couldn´t use it. THERE WAS NO ELECTRICITY IN MY HOUSE. It was the worst day of my life.

When I was little muy mum asked me to go to the basement of my house.
Suddenly, I saw a ghost and I started shouting and raw away. The next day, my brother went down there and I never saw him again.

I spent all summer in a house in which a ghost had lived for forty years, but I wasn´t afraid until one day I was alone at home watching the TV, I heard a noise but I supposed that it was outside but it wasn´t because a few minutes later I heard several things falling so I jumped and I saw a figure moving. I was very terrified.
